StatStrip LAC/Hb/Hct uses two types of disposable biosensors: a lactate sensor and a hemoglobin/hematocrit sensor. Lactate is measured in 13 seconds from a 0.6 µL blood sample; Hb and Hct are both measured directly in 40 seconds from a 1.6 µL capillary blood sample.
The connected version stores 1,000 patient results, supports patient identification and transmits data to LIS/HIS/EMR through NovaNet or middleware. The manufacturer states that the system is not FDA cleared and is not available in every market, including the United States and Canada.
